Mike is Mystic Canyon's most prolific songwriter, penning more than half of our original songs. He's also part-owner of Sasquatch Advertising, where the band rehearses. For the sake of clarity, he is not the acclaimed Christian-rock singer nor the Kentucky Derby winning jockey of the same name, nor is he the artist behind the lovely pastoral print at your doctor's office.

Mike has the earthy voice and earnest delivery of a wise storyteller. His guitar playing bears the unmistakable influences of Jerry, Jorma and Neil, but the end result is all Mike. He writes songs about loss, discovery and the journeys in between.

Mike grew up in California and graduated from the University of Oregon, where you’re likely to find him on Saturday afternoons in the Fall.
