Scott Hewitt started playing bass when he was two. He's like really good and stuff. Y'know that thing where you slide your finger up and down one string really quickly and it sounds like a guy with a really deep voice (like Barry White for example) saying "Whoa!" as if he had suddenly lost then regained his balance? Scott invented that.

Scott writes funny swingy bluesy tunes, likes wordplay and wishes you could hear the lyrics. He spent several years blending rock and jazz with his brother Doug in a band called Zen Cats that played all over the Northeast in the mid-90s.

He lives in Vancouver, WA with his wife Sue, son Miles, and daughter Louise. He once lived in Iowa City, IA, where he was run out of town by an angry torch-wielding mob for his beliefs in objective journalism, evolution and gravity.
